Cross-Country Journey
Imperial Connections: 4 Days Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara
Connect Morocco’s two most legendary cities—Marrakech and Fes—via the golden door of the Sahara Desert. This route follows the ancient caravan paths, crossing the spectacular Tizi n Tichka pass and winding through villages built in tiers among walnut groves before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou.
The journey is a visual masterpiece, transitioning from the lunar landscapes of the Anti Atlas to the lush Skoura palm grove. You will witness the ingenuity of local irrigation systems and explore 17th-century Kasbahs where olives are still ground traditionally to produce oil.
The crescendo of the trip is a night in the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a sunset camel ride, you will sleep in a desert camp before heading north through the Ziz Valley and the alpine forests of Ifrane, finally arriving in the medieval labyrinth of Fes.
