Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech to the Foothills of the Atlas (Ait Benhaddou & Todra Gorge)

• Morning: Meet your group at 8 am in Marrakech and set off towards the Todra Valley in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
• Midday: Stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortress town used by salt caravans crossing the Sahara. Take a guided walk through the winding streets of the Old Town.
• Afternoon: Enjoy lunch and tea at the Tawesna Teahouse on the river, a community-run project supporting local women and their families.
• Evening: Arrive in the Todra area and check into your hotel, with free time to take a refreshing dip in the pool.

Day 2: Todra Gorges, Amazigh Hospitality & the Sahara Desert

• Morning: Walk through the valley’s fertile farmland to the magnificent Todra Gorges, featuring towering red-hued sandstone canyons.
• Midday: Enjoy a unique brunch picnic in the valley, featuring stuffed bread, mint tea, and olive oil prepared by members of a local Amazigh women’s association.
• Afternoon: Drive through changing landscapes to Merzouga, drop your bags at the overnight camp, and hop aboard your camel for a 1-hour ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset.
• Night: Enjoy a hearty Moroccan feast prepared by your hosts and spend the night in a comfortable tent under the stars.

Day 3: Desert Sunrise & Return to Marrakech

• Morning: Rise early to climb the nearest dune and witness a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara.
• Midday: Fuel up with a traditional breakfast at the desert camp before starting the return journey.
• Afternoon: Travel back to Marrakech through the scenic mountains, with plenty of stops to stretch your legs and unwind before being dropped off to conclude your adventure.
